Discipline Plan for the Art and Music Room
Rules:

If You Choose to Break a Rule:
A Huskies Self-Correction Form will be filled out by the student and teacher when the first two warnings have already been given for their misbehavior. This form will stay at school but you, as the parent or guardian, will be notified before their citizenship grade becomes lowered to an N or U.
Art and Music Conduct Grades:
Art and Music’s conduct marks may differ from the classroom teachers, since we see your child 6-7 times in a nine week period.
*When a nine week grading period is over, the conduct marks in the grade book are removed and students begin the new grading period with a clean slate.

- First Time: Verbal Warning
- Second Times: Time Out from Art
- Third Time: Huskies Self - Correction Form
- Fourth Time: Referral to the Office

- E - Student has received no marks in the grade book for breaking the class rules during the nine week grading period.
- S - Student has received 1-2 marks in the grade book for breaking the class rules during the nine week grading period.
- N - Student has received 3-4 marks in the grade book for breaking the class rules during the nine week grading period.
- U - Student has received 5 or more marks in the grade book for breaking the class rules during the nine week grading period.
*When a nine week grading period is over, the conduct marks in the grade book are removed and students begin the new grading period with a clean slate.
Grading
In art class, students are graded on the art process towards the completion of a project.
All students will participate in activities that will involve diverse art mediums. This will
include painting, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, weaving, and many more.
Student will be assessed on the Process of Art Expression: Art Elements and Principles,
Creativity/Originality, Effort/Perseverance, Craftsmanship/Skill/Consistency,
Developing Skills, Understanding and Application of Art
